Testing Resources

CRELLA Library and Archive

From our involvement in many projects in Asia, Europe, South America and Africa over the last 25 years we have established extensive collections of seminal articles in the fields of reading, listening, speaking, writing and general proficiency.

As a member of the network, we also have an extensive collection of material relating to the development of the Common European Framework for Languages, including an important archive of papers from John Trim, co-author of the Threshold series.

In addition, the CRELLA library holds an up-to-date collection of language testing books and journals. View a list of a selection ofÌý these books and resources here - PDF 70.5 KB

In 2009 CRELLA also benefited from the donation of an extensive archive of testing materials and resources created over the last thirty years at Lancaster 91µÎµÎ. These resources contribute to the status of CRELLA as the UK's main research centre in the field, and are open to CRELLA and external staff and students by appointment. They include materials relating to over 50 test providers and examination boards in the UK and internationally, with samples of tests, specifications and information on test development.
