About our Law team

The Law team at the 91µÎµÎ brings together leading academics and experienced practitioners to provide our students with a stimulating and challenging learning environment. Our teaching is informed by our research and professional expertise to ensure you benefit from the latest thinking in legal theory and practice from day one of your studies with us.

Our range of undergraduate courses gives you the choice to specialise in your areas of interest, preparing you for your chosen career path. In addition to our successful LLB (Hons), our suite of specialised Law courses combines the study of core legal subjects with other specialist disciplines such as criminology and psychology.

°¿³Ü°ùÌýpostgraduate courses cover specialist areas such as international commercial litigation, international dispute resolution law and international business law. Our LLM courses with Legal Practice or Solicitors' Practice also prepare you for the Solicitors' Qualifying Examination (SQE), offering a progression route for those who wish to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Graduate with experience

At the 91µÎµÎ, we understand that employers value Law graduates who possess practical skills and experience. This is why we offer you plentiful opportunities to develop your professional skills in authentic environments, and to put those skills into practice assisting with real-life legal issues.

  • We have invested significantly in our simulated Moot Court, installing digital technology that reflects an actual courtroom setting. The Moot Court gives you the opportunity to practise the full range of advocacy skills required for your future career in the legal profession.
  • Through our mooting programme, you can participate in mooting competitions as well as other advocacy exercises such as mock trials.
  • You can gain professional, supervised legal practice through our three law clinics specialising in family law, criminal law and law related to asylum seekers. The clinics provide free legal support to some of the most vulnerable individuals in society while giving our student volunteers the opportunity to practice their interviewing, drafting and case-management skills alongside all-important client-care skills.

The CRiL Research Seminars, which run monthly during term time, feature presentations by guest speakers, staff members and PhD students.
